Range-associated Detector for Wideband Radar Targets Based on Position Information
Abstract：The wideband radar echo is modeled as a range-spread target. Moreover, the range-spread target detection is a difficult and crucial problem in the radar signal processing field. This paper summarizes key RCS characteristics of target through analyzing the RCS characteristics of wideband radar target. It also introduces detection method for wideband radar signal which utilizing the double threshold detector based on the range bin information, and proposes a nonparametric detection method, which based on the radial range correlation information of one-dimensional range images of high resolution radar targets. Finally, experimental results for measured illustrate that the proposed algorithm not only needs less computation, but also is able to detect multiple range-spread targets along distance ＂corridor＂.
