A New Ranging Technique for 802.16e Uplink
Abstract：This paper proposes a new ranging method for 802.16e uplink in the frequency domain,aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional ranging algorithm.The ranging method is realized by computing frequency difference of adjacent sub-carriers in the ranging channel,and by eliminating impact of the timing offset,which can reduce the search space from the two-dimension to the one-dimension.When there is slot,the ranging code can be detected by adopting the some threshold.The complexity of the algorithm can be reduced,and without losing the performance of timing estimation.The simulation results prove its feasibility and validity.
