Abstract:Based on the study of the long-range history ocean wave observation data of the Yangshan sea area, represented by five typical wave directions including SE, NW, S, NE and E, selected the interval of two typical construction periods of ten years, the Yangshan Port early building period (2002) and Yangshan phase iv construction period (2012) , and used a third-generation wave model based on wave energy conservation, we calculated the wave field at the extreme high water level with a return period of50 years in order to deeply study the change of sea wave characteristics in ten years of construction of Yangshan deep water port. The study showed that the construction of Yangshan deep water harbor in ten years has changed the wave field distribution significantly. The strongest wave direction changed from NE to SE.The changed included also the intensity, height and period of wave.A larger special area, in particular, needs to be attended.
