Abstract:The effects of nitrogen, phosphorus and water temperature on the growth, chlorophyll, carotenoid content and photosynthetic oxygen evolution rate of dominant species Stephanodiscus sp.in Han River diatom bloom were studied. The results showed that the suitable nitrogen and phosphorus concentration were in the range of 0.4~40mg/L and 0.1663~1.663mg/L for the growth of the dominant species, and the average nitrogen and phosphorus concentration were in this concentration range during the Hanjiang River diatom bloom, and the pigment content and photosynthetic oxygen evolution rate were higher than other treatments in the range of the concentration. The higher concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus were not suitable for the growth of the dominant species, which may be related to the nitrogen and phosphorus ratio of algae growth. The appropriate temperature for the growth of the dominant species was in range of 15~20℃.In this range, the photosynthetic capacity was higher than other treatments.Appropriate temperature and rich nitrogen, phosphorus and other nutrients were a prerequisite for the diatom bloom outbreak.
