Abstract:Sedimentary environment and seabed succession of the southwest tidal flat in Zhujiajian,Zhoushan were studied by referring to the reclamation planning and historical map data, investigating geological features, bathymetry, surface sediment among others. The results showed that the sediments were mainly composed of silty, which could be divided into three districts,E-Ⅱ,E-Ⅲ and D-Ⅲ.Under the influence of dynamic factors like tide, wave and human activities, near shore tidal flat showed a scouring behavior from 2006 to 2012 with a range of scour about 130cm a-1;however,far off shore flat showed a siltation behavior with an average range of siltation from 90 to 100cm a-1.The amount of deposition was greater than that of erosion.Since 2012,the studied area has a weak deposition trend, and the average net deposition was less than 10 cm a-1.
