Abstract:This paper uses the ECMWF reanalysis data of wind field, along with a wind field generated by the Jelesnianski-Ⅱ model as a driver,to establish a typhoon wave numerical simulation model based the third-generation wave model SWAN.Take the No.9 typhoon Rammasun'in 2014 as an example, the measured wave elements (wave height, wave direction, period) are compared with the simulated results of the SWAN.The results are quite good.On the basis of the above analysis, the spatial and temporal distribution of typhoon "Rammasun" for the wave elements were analyzed. It is concluded that on the right of the center of the typhoon moving direction is the maximum wind speed region.Wind speed and effective wave height are quite high, and the wave direction is consistent with the wind direction. On the left of the center of the typhoon moving direction is the smaller wind speed area.Wind speed and significant wave height smaller than those on the right, and the wind and wave direction are inconsistent.
