Study on Purification Function of Gracilaria Verrucosa to Heavy Metal Cu、Pb、Cd

Abstract：This is a study of Gracilaria verrucosa bioconcentration ability for copper,lead,and cadmi-um under certain temperature(5～25℃) and heavy metal concentration (l～100ug/L).It also measureshow Gracilaria's growth rate,photosynthetic rate,and photosynthetic pigmentare affected under theseconditions.The result shows that Gracilaria verrucosa has a strong bioconcentration ability for copper(bioconcentration rate equals to 2767),lead (bioconcentration rate equalsto 5149),and cadmium(bioconcentration rate equalsto 1165).The growth rate,photosynthetic rate,chlorophyll content andcarotenoid content of Gracilaria verrucosa stay in normal levels under the experimental heavy metalconcentration (1 ～ 100ug/L).The result of this study shows that it has remarkable effect to controlheavy metal pollution and restore the ecosystem of ocean by artificially planting gracilaria in riversanddilution zone of pollution.
