Abstract:REMAP was one of the molecular markers based on retrotransposons, and it could amplify abundant bands by one primer combination, most of which were polymorphism. It was the first time that REMAP was used on the population variation analysis of some genuses of Solieriaceae, such as Betaphycus gelatinae,Kappaphycus alvarezii and Eucheuma denticulatum.Twenty polymorphism primers were selected in this research, and 500 loci were obtained from 24 individuals of Solieriaceae, and 25 loci were amplified by one primer combination on average. It was demonstrated that REMAP worked well on Solieriaceae and had high discernibility, and twenty-five loci were amplified by one primer combination on average. The percentage of polymorphic loci was 100% among five populations,3.8%~8.8% among different individuals of one population, and 18.62%~39.54% among different parts of one individual. These results indicated that high-degree variations existed extensively during the vegetate growth of Solieriaceae. It may provide a new approach for innovate germplasm resources and selective breeding.
