Effect of Oceanic Weather Condition at Different Latitudes on Retrieval Products of Microwave Radiometer

Abstract：Based on radiosonde data,the retrieval error of microwave radiometer over the ocean at different latitudes was analyzed.We found that (1) the troposphere in tropical region of the southern hemisphere and near the equator was higher than that in the middle latitude region of the northern hemisphere;and (2) compared with single neural network,the retrieval errors were reduced by using different neural networks to three regions,the southern hemisphere,northern hemisphere and the equator.The correlation analysis indicated that the error of temperature was smaller than that of relative humidity.The retrieved relative humidity in the middle latitude region of the northern hemisphere was better than those in other two oceanic regions.
