Regulation of Sea Cucumber Culture Pond Sunshine Shield to Pond Water Quality

Abstract：The regulation of sea cucumber culture pond sunshine shield to pond water quality was determined.The results showed that the water temperature of experimental pond was significantly higher than that of control pond at 3:30pm.For 8 days the water temperature of control pond was over 30℃ while for only 5 days the water temperature of experimental pond was over 30℃.The daily heating rate of control pond was higher than that of experimental pond.Between the experimental pond and the control pond,the maximum difference was 2.5℃ and the average difference was 0.56℃.Both the salinity and acidity (pH) of control pond were lower than those of experimental pond but such differences were not significant.The concentration of dissolved oxygen and ammonia nitrogen were basically similar with each other.Therefore,sunshine shield of sea cucumber pond was effective for the survival of sea cucumber in summer.
