Abstract:The impact of petroleum hydrocarbons (PHCs) pollution on environment and marine organisms was determined with the aids of the concentrations of PHCs and benzopyrene (BaP) in surface water, sediment and marine organisms around Bohai Bay.The concentrations of PHCs and BaP from different marine environments, different varieties of marine organisms, and different sea areas were investigated with molecule fluorescence photometry and HPLC,respectively. The pollution degree of PHCs in different sea areas and the enrichment capability of different marine organisms for PHCs were also studied. All the results showed that the concentration trends of PHCs and BaP in marine organisms was as follows:echinodermata > shellfish > crustacean > fish. The concentrations of PHCs in different surface water varied between 0.013 and 0.285 mg/1,which was in the range of mild petroleum hydrocarbon pollution. The concentration of BaP in investigated marine organisms ranged from 0 to 2.29 μg/kg,below the limit of detection. The concentration of PHCs in marine organisms varied between 0 and 57.2 mg/kg,higher than the limit,6.7%.The results indicated that most tested aquatic products met the food safety standards.
