An Erosion-siltation numerical Simulation of Maowei Sea Ecological Restoration Engineering

Abstract：A 2-D hydrodynamic model of Maowei Sea was established based on MIKE 21,which was verified by the real measurements.With the established model,the tidal current field after ecological restoration engineering completion was simulated and the change of the tidal current field before and after engineering completion was determined.The erosion-siltation model was established by combining the hydrodynamic model and sand transport module,which aided to,calculating the sediment transport of Maowei Sea caused by wave and current.Comparing the simulated results before and after engineering completion,we found that the implementation of the engineering protected the seashores greatly from scouring,and mangroves from destroying.
