The Application Progress of Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC) in Lake and Reservoir Environment

Abstract：EFDC(Environment Fluid Dynamic Code)is a widely used three-dimensional water Environment model,and is also one of the models recommended by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).In this study,the development of EFDC was briefly described and the main researches on lake and reservoir environment based on EFDC in recent five years were reviewed both at home and abroad with respect to the fields of hydrodynamics,water quality and eutrophication,sediments and toxics,environmental capacity and TMDLs (Total Maximum Daily Loads).The main problems of the modeling research and application in lake and reservoir environment were discussed and finally its development trend was prospected.
