Abstract：This paper reviewed the background and up to date progress in cellular and molecular basics of space medical problems. The effects of weightlessness and space radiation on cell and organism were summarized. The focus of this review was on the basic biological issues involved in the perception, transduction, transmission and response of organisms to signals such as gravity, as well as the molecular mechanism of space medical problems. The new strategies of study in space molecular medicine was also discussed.
