Abstract：Establishing a Controlled Ecological Life Support Ssystem(CELSS) is the life-support basis for carrying out future inhabitation and exploration of extraterrestrial planets such as the Moon or the Mars. The detailed discussion about the developing history of controlled ecological life support technologies, researches for key technologies, main technical breakthroughs, future developing challenges and corresponding countermeasures in China were given in this paper, so as to provide reference for promoting development of the technologies in our country.
