Application of Scale for Subjective Perception of Discomfort in Sedentary Work

Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of sit-stand posture adjustment on the subjective perception of discomfort(SSPD) score in sedentary workers.Method Twenty-five healthy subjects participated in the experiment.The SSPD score from 10 body parts in lower limb were recorded during their text entry and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the score data.Result The interaction of time cycle and the SSPD score of the lower limb was not significant.However,high level of perceived discomfort in right back of calf (RBC) and left back of calf (LBC) was caused by the adjustment of sit/stand posture.Conclusion Appropriate time cycle can improve the level of comfort in sedentary workers.
