Abstract：The rapid development of smartphone and mobile communication technology provides a great opportunity for the development of wearable health monitoring.Body-worn medical monitoring devices can monitor the vital physiological signals and can access the communication network or the Internet through the mobile phone for remote data transmission or data sharing.So they can improve the health care and reduce the medical costs.Based on the latest progress in wearable medical devices,the coexisting of development opportunities and challenges was pointed out for wearable medical devices.Moreover,prospects of wearable medical devices in the future were also discussed.
