Research on Age and Gender Factors of Vigil Balance Center of Pressure Parameters

Abstract：Objective To provide theoretical guidance for the treatment and prevention of balance related diseases of the elderly through the research of effects of age and gender on the balance of the human body.Methods First,the data was collected by the self-developed intelligent instrument,and then center of pressure (COP) and shake diameter were selected as the feature parameters for analysis and comparison.Results COP was better than shake diameter under the same test condition.It was less sensitive to data recording conditions.Conclusion The results show that front-rear sway of COP is significantly different between the elderly and the youth,the elderly' s ability to keep balance is not so well as that of the youth and the effect to balance is not significant when the elderly' s age is similar.
