Abstract:Objective To investigate the Chinese Medicine syndrome elements of fatigue sub-health in Airline pilots to provide objective evidence for syndrome differentiation and treatment. Methods An observation was carried out on 217 fatigue sub-health airline pilots confirmed with questionnaire survey. The characteristics of Chinese Medicine symptoms and syndrome distribution were summarized with factor analysis and cluster analysis to abstract the syndrome element. Results There were 7 components (syndrome elements) picked up by the factor analysis, such as qi deficiency, yin deficiency,fire-heat,qi stagnation and phlegm-dampness.The distribution of syndrome elements among the 217 patients was as follow as:excess syndrome had 78.3% and deficiency syndrome had 21.3%.Conclusion The major syndrome elements of fatigue sub-health airline pilots are qi deficiency, yin deficiency,fire-heat,qi stagnation and phlegm dampness. They may be further classified by two types, excess syndrome and deficiency syndome, mainly to be excess. These syndrome elements mainly involve in 3 viscera of liver, spleen and kidney.
