Abstract：Waste collection system is an important part of the environment control and life support system in manned spacecraft.This paper focused on the development of the waste collection system in the United States and Russia based on related literature in the past 50 years.The development characteristics of the waste collection system from the point of view of human factors engineering and the enlightenment for us were also analyzed.
