Application Effect of Implant Nail Assisted Retraction of Upper Anterior Teeth in Orthodontic Patients with Bimaxillary Protrusion Extraction

Abstract：Objective To investigate the application effect of implant nail assisted retraction of upper anterior teeth in orthodontic patients with bimaxillary protrusion extraction.Methods A total of 100 cases of orthodontic patients with bimaxillary protrusion extraction received in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively selected.According to the 1∶1 matching principle,50 cases of patients who received implant nail assisted retraction of upper anterior teeth were selected as implant nail group and received conventional G6 protocol.After a significant"roller coaster"effect,50 patients who were assisted by implant nail were included in the conventional group.The orthodontic satisfaction after 1 year of treatment and the changes of labial bone before and after 1 year treatment were statistically analyzed between the two groups.Results After 1 year of treatment,upper incisor to Sella-Nasion plane angle(U1-SN),lower incisor to vertical reference line(U1-VRL),incisor mandibular plane angle(IMPA),upper incisor to vertical reference line(L1-VRL)were lower than before treatment,and upper incisor to lower incisor angle(U1-L1)was higher than before treatment(P＜0.05).The difference of U1-SN,upper incisor to the horizontal reference line(U1-HRL)and U1-L1 in implant nail group before and after treatment were lower than those in conventional group(P＜0.05).Compared with the conventional group(82.00％),the orthodontic satisfaction of implant nail group(96.00％)was higher(P＜0.05).Conclusion The orthodontic patients with bimaxillary protrusion extraction treated by implant nail assisted retraction of upper anterior teeth can improve the appearance of labial bone and improve orthodontic satisfaction.
