Abstract:Objective To explore the correlation between intestinal microecology, inflammatory response level and stroke risk in patients with carotid atherosclerosis. Methods A total of 90 cases of carotid atherosclerosis patients admitted to Anyang Regional Hospital of Puyang City from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the observation group, and 90 cases of healthy people were selected as the control group. The differences between the two groups of Escherichia coli,Enterococcus,Lactobacillus,Bifidobacteria,interleukin-6(IL-6)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)were compared. At the same time, the differences between patients with different degrees of stenosis in the observation group and the differences in intestinal microecology of patients at different stroke risk were analyzed. Results The levels of Escherichia coli,Enterococcus,IL-6,and hs-CRP in the observation group were(7.72±1.12)lg CFU·g-1,(6.60±1.14)lg CFU·g-1,(102.51±13.35)ng·L-1,and(7.77±1.20)mg·L-1,respectively,which were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the levels of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were(3.55±0.97)lg CFU·g-1 and(6.61±1.01)lg CFU·g-1,respectively,which were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group showed higher levels of Escherichia coli,Enterococcus,IL-6,and hs-CRP in patients with stenosis degree>50%compared to patients with stenosis degree<25%and 25%-50%(P<0.05),while Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were lower than those in patients with stenosis degree<25%and 25%-50%(P<0.05).The observation group showed a positive correlation between Escherichia coli and Enterococcus and IL-6,hs-CRP,and degree of stenosis(P<0.05),while Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were negatively correlated with IL-6,hs-CRP,and degree of stenosis(P<0.05).The levels of Escherichia coli and Enterococcus in high-risk stroke patients were higher than those in low-risk and medium-risk patients(P<0.05).While the levels of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium were lower than those in low-risk and medium-risk patients(P<0.05).The observation group showed a positive correlation between Escherichia coli and Enterococcus and the risk of stroke(P<0.05),while Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria were negatively correlated with the risk of stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of intestinal Escherichia coli and Enterococci are positively correlated with IL-6,hs-CRP and stroke risk in patients with carotid atherosclerosis, while Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria are negatively correlated. There is a certain relationship between the levels of Escherichia coli,Enterococcus,Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium and the degree of stenosis.
