Clinical Effect of Banxia Juzhu Granule in Treating Chronic Gastritis of Intermingled Cold and Heat Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To observe the clinical effect and safety of Banxia Juzhu Granule in the treatment of chronic gastritis(intermingled cold and heat syndrome).Methods A total of 116 patients with chronic gastritis(intermingled cold and heat syndrome)admitted to Henan General Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2023 to June 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into an observation group(72 cases)and a control group(36 cases).The observation group was treated with Banxia Juzhu Granule,and the control group was treated with Yangweishu Granule.The effective rate,changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,levels of serum pepsinogen Ⅰ (PG Ⅰ),pepsinogen Ⅱ(PG Ⅱ),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed in both groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome improvement in the observation group was 95.82％(69/72),which was higher than 80.56％(29/36)in the control group(P＜0.05).Compared with before treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores(epigastric distress,belching,epigastric pain,acid regurgitation)and the levels of PG Ⅰ,PG Ⅱ,and IL-6 were all decreased in both groups after treatment(P＜0.05),and no adverse reactions occurred.Conclusion Banxia Juzhu Granule can effectively reduce the serum inflammatory levels and pepsinogen levels in patients with chronic gastritis of intermingled cold and heat syndrome,alleviate clinical symptoms,and has a high safety profile,which is worth promoting.
