Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of single-port thoracoscopic surgery in the treatment of early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on patients with stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ lung cancer admitted to the Department of Thoracic Surgery of the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University from April to December 2025.The patients were divided into the single-port thoracoscopic group(60 cases)and the three-port thoracoscopic group(60 cases). Results All 120 patients successfully underwent surgery, and postoperative pathology confirmed the diagnosis of lung cancer. The operation duration was longer in the single-port thoracoscopic group compared to the three-port thoracoscopic group[(93.67±12.55)min vs(86.37±11.84)min](P<0.05).No significant differences were observed in intraoperative blood loss[(89.08±33.07)mL vs(88.75±30.94)mL],the number of lymph nodes resected[(18.57±3.00)vs(18.55±3.01)],postoperative mean chest drainage volume[(152.17±28.47)mL vs(152.50±29.25)mL],or postoperative day 1 visual analogue scale(VAS)scores[(6.45±0.95)vs(6.45±0.91)points]between the two groups(P>0.05).Patients in the single-port thoracoscopic group had lower postoperative day 3 VAS scores[(2.72±0.64)points vs(4.03±1.02)points],shorter postoperative hospital stay[(4.82±0.77)days vs(5.75±0.79)days],and a lower incidence of pulmonary complications[5(8.3%)vs15(25.0%)]than those in the three-port thoracoscopic group(P<0.05).Conclusion Single-port and three-port thoracoscopic surgery demonstrate comparable outcomes in terms of intraoperative blood loss, number of lymph nodes resected, postoperative mean drainage volume, and postoperative day 1 VAS scores for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer.However,single-port thoracoscopic surgery is associated with a lower postoperative day 3 VAS score,a shorter postoperative hospital stay, and a reduced incidence of pulmonary complications, thus facilitating postoperative recovery and demonstrating positive clinical utility.
