Abstract:Objective To analyze the application value of three-dimensional reconstruction of pelvic and abdominal CT angiography(CTA)in radical surgery for colon cancer. Methods A total of 210 patients who underwent radical surgery for colon cancer in Puyang People's Hospital from February 2020 to December 2022 were selected and divided into a control group(103 cases)and an observation group(107 cases)according to preoperative examination methods. The control group underwent routine CT examination, while the observation group underwent three-dimensional reconstruction of pelvic and abdominal CTA on the basis of the control group. The study assessed the visibility of colonic arteries in colon cancer patients via CTA three-dimensional reconstruction and compared surgical metrics(operative duration, intraoperative blood loss, lymph node dissection count, and histological classification),postoperative recovery metrics(total hospital stay, time to first flatus, and total abdominal drainage volume),and associated complications between the two cohorts. Results The three-dimensional reconstruction of CTA showed a display rate of 100.00%for the superior mesenteric artery(SMA),inferior mesenteric artery(IMA),inferior mesenteric vein(IMV),and abdominal aorta(AA)in patients with colon cancer, while the display rate for the left colic artery(LCA)was 93.46%.There were no statistical differences between the two groups in terms of histological types and the number of lymph nodes removed(P>0.05).The operative time was shorter in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05),and the total intraoperative blood loss and total volume of abdominal drainage were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There were no statistical differences between the control and observation groups in total postoperative hospital stay and time to first flatus after surgery(P>0.05),but the total volume of abdominal drainage after surgery was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was not statistically different between the control and observation groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Preoperative three-dimensional reconstruction of pelvic and abdominal CTA in radical surgery for colon cancer can effectively display the course of arteries around the colon, shorten the total operative time, and reduce intraoperative blood loss and postoperative abdominal drainage volume.
