Health Science and Technology Layout and Hotspot Analysis in Henan Province Under the Background of Healthy Central Plains

Abstract：Objective To study the overall situation and research hotspots of health science and technology layout in Henan Province,so as to provide reference for the reasonable planning and scientific layout of the project.Methods The unit category,project name,project category,project number,project amount and discipline category of Henan Provincial medical science and technology research program approved in 2019-2023 were extracted,and the overall situation,population and discipline distribution characteristics of the project were described by Excel 2019 software.Python 3.12 software was used to extract the disease names contained in the project name,and the disease co-occurrence network analysis was carried out by Gephi 0.10 software.Results From 2019 to 2023,a total of 6 665 medical science and technology research projects in Henan Province were approved,with a total investment of 261.59 million yuan and 786 kinds of diseases studied.The hospital projects and funds accounted for 95.14％and 95.85％,respectively,and they were the main undertaking unit of the project.The proportion of projects and funding among young people was higher than that of non-young people,but the funding intensity was lower than that of non-young people.The funding direction of the project was mainly concentrated in internal medicine,surgery,oncology,gynecology and pediatrics.The diseases with the highest frequency in the project were lung cancer,breast cancer,liver cancer,esophagenal carcinoma,stomach cancer,of which cancer accounted for 11 of the top 20 diseases in terms of frequency,which was one of the main research directions of the project.The disease co-occurrence network presented a core cluster of chronic diseases with diabetes,heart failure,stroke,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and functional impairment.Conclusion The implementation of Henan Province medical science and technology research plan is of great significance to strengthening the construction of the province's talent team and enhancing the province's scientific and technological innovation capabilities.In the future,we can focus on improving the funding of outstanding young talents in the province,strengthen the level of disciplines such as digestion,infection and parasitic diseases,support comorbidity research on cancer diseases,and optimize the project funding pattern,and contributes to the development of Healthy Central Plains.
