Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine children's health management plan on the TCM physiological status score and growth and development of children with atopic dermatitis. Methods A total of 80 children with atopic dermatitis admitted to Henan Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2023 to July 2024 were enrolled and divided into two groups by random drawing, with 40 cases in each group. The control group received routine intervention, while the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine pediatric health management on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy,SCORing Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD)score,TCM physical state score and growth and development status were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group(80.00%),the total effective rate of the observation group(97.50%)was higher(P<0.05).After intervention, the SCORAD score of the observation group[(35.68±5.54)points]was lower than that of the control group[(46.30±6.92)points](P<0.05).After intervention, both groups showed an increase in body weight and height gain, with no statistically significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the physiological status scores of both groups in traditional Chinese medicine(abdominal distension, loose stools, difficulty falling asleep, skin itching, and fatigue)decreased, and the observation group had even lower scores(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine pediatric health management programs for children with atopic dermatitis can help improve the severity of the disease and clinical symptoms, promote growth and development to a certain extent, and are worthy of clinical promotion.
