Prognostic Value of Nutritional Index and Triglyceride-Glucose Index in Predicting Prognosis of Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relationship between prognostic nutrition index(PNI)and triglyceride-glucose index(TyG)and prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)after interventional therapy.Methods The clinical data of 186 patients diagnosed with ACS and percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in Anyang District Hospital of Puyang from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)was recorded at follow-up after discharge.According to the occurrence of MACE,patients were divided into MACE group(42 cases)and non-MACE group(144 cases).The clinical data differences between the two groups were analyzed,and independent risk factors for MACE were screened by Cox regression.The predictive power was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results During the follow-up period,a total of 42 patients developed MACE.Compared with non-MACE group patients,MACE group patients had lower left ventricular ejection fraction,lymphocyte count,PNI,higher stenosis vessel count,neutrophil count,stent implantation number,and TyG index(P＜0.05).Multivariate Cox regression analysis confirmed that PNI and TyG were independent risk factors for MACE in ACS patients after PCI,and PNI was negatively correlated with TyG.ROC curve analysis showed that the optimal cut off values for predicting MACE using PNI and TyG were 42.450 and 8.665,respectively.The individual predicted areas under the curve for both were 0.635 and 0.804,respectively,while the joint predicted area under the curve was 0.817,indicating better predictive performance.Conclusion TyG index and PNI are independent risk factors for MACE in patients after ACS intervention,and their combination can improve the prognostic value of patients after ACS intervention.
