Abstract:Objective To compare the application effects of fiber reinforced all-crown(FCR)and endocrown(ECR)in the restoration of large area occlusal defects of mandibular first molars. Methods Ninety patients with extensive mandibular first molar surface defects who underwent oral restoration at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from June 2021 to May 2023 were selected and randomly divided into FCR group and ECR group using a random number table method. The repair effect, biomechanical performance and complications were compared between two groups. Results After repair, the proportion of A-grade edge adaptability and adjacency relationship in the FCR group was higher than that in the ECR group(P<0.05).After repair, there was no significant difference in the maximum Von Mises stress of vertical loads between the two groups(P>0.05),the maximum Von Mises stress of oblique loads in FCR group was lower than that in ECR group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with ECR,FCR can improve marginal adaptability and adjacency relationship in repairing large area defects of mandibular first molars after root canal treatment, and has more advantages in oblique stress.
