Efficacy of Three-Dimensional Traction Reduction Based on Flat-ridge Therapy in Lumbar Disc Herniation

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of three-dimensional traction and reduction based on the flat-ridge therapy on the efficacy,protrusion morphology,and lumbar function of patients with lumbar disc herniation.Methods One hundred patients with lumbar disc herniation were selected from January 2022 to January 2024 adoitted to the Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital of Henan Province.According to the random number table method,they were divided into treatment group(50 cases)and control group(50 cases).The control group received sacral canal injection combined with paravertebral articular process acupotomy lysis.Based on the control group,the treatment group received three-dimensional traction and revision based on the flat-ridge therapy.The therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups in patients at six months after treatment,as well as the Oswestry disability index(ODI),Japanese orthopaedic association assessment treatment score(JOA),morphological changes of protrusions,lumbar and leg pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)],lumbar curvature and straight leg raising angle were compared between the two groups before treatment,3 months and 6 months after treatment.The adverse events were statistically analyzed during the treatment period.Results Six months after treatment,the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).At 3 and 6 months after treatment,the intervertebral disc herniation index of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Meanwhile,the JOA score was higher and ODI score was lower in the treatment group(P＜0.05).In addition,the VAS scores of waist and leg pain were lower,while lumbar curvature and straight leg raising angle were larger in the treatment group,and all differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The treatment of lumbar disc herniation using three-dimensional traction and revision based on the flat spine therapy has significant therapeutic effects,which can effectively improve the shape of the protrusion,alleviate pain,facilitate the recovery of lumbar function,and have good safety.
