Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction on tuberculous drug-induced peripheral neuropathy. Methods A total of 60 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis were addimited in Zhengzhou Sixth People's Hospital from March 2023 to February 2025 all developed peripheral neuropathy after taking anti-tuberculosis drugs and were randomly divided into groups. There were 30 cases in the control group were treated with vitamin B6 and mecobalamin, and 30 cases in the observation group were treated with modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction on the basis of control group. The treatment courses of both groups were 8 weeks. The traditional chinese medicine symptom scores, nerve conduction velocity, clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results After the treatment, the traditional chinese medicine symptom scores and nerve conduction velocity were improved(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the main and secondary syndrome scores of traditional chinese medicine in the observation group were lower, the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)and motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)in the observation group was faster(P<0.05).The clinical efficacy in the observation group was better(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined application of modified Huangqi Guizhi Wuwu Decoction and conventional Western medicine can reduce the traditional chinese medicine symptom scores of patients with tuberculous drug-induced peripheral neuropathy, improve nerve conduction function. The therapeutic effect is relatively satisfactory and there is no significant increase in adverse reactions.
