Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of balloon temporary occlusion technique on cesarean section for pernicious placenta previa and its influence on patients' hemodynamics. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on pregnant women with pernicious placenta previa admitted to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Jiaozuo Maternal and Child Health Hospital from December 2021 to December 2024.Based on the hemostatic methods during cesarean section, they were divided into a balloon temporary occlusion technique group and a conventional hemostasis group. To ensure sample balance,60 patients were randomly selected from each group.Intraoperative blood loss, blood transfusion volume, and hemodynamic parameters were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the conventional hemostasis group, the balloon temporary occlusion technique group had shorter operation time, less intraoperative blood loss, lower total blood transfusion volume, and a lower hysterectomy rate(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP),oxygen saturation(SaO2)between the two groups before and after anesthesia(P>0.05).However,after fetal delivery, after intraoperative hemostasis, and at 10 minutes after surgery,HR and MAP in the balloon temporary occlusion technique group were better than those in the conventional hemostasis group(P<0.05).Conclusion Balloon temporary occlusion technique applied in cesarean section for pernicious placenta previa can effectively shorten operation time, reduce intraoperative blood loss and total blood transfusion volume, and lower the hysterectomy rate.Additionally, this technique has less impact on patients' hemodynamics, maintains relatively stable vital signs, and ensures maternal and fetal safety. Therefore, balloon temporary occlusion technique has significant clinical application value in cesarean section for pernicious placenta previa and is worthy of further promotion and application.
