Abstract:Objective To analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of hepatic artery embolization combined with CT-guided radiofrequency ablation for early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma and its effects on serum markers. Methods A total of 128 patients with early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2023 to January 2024 were enrolled. They were randomly divided into an observation group(64 cases, receiving hepatic artery embolization combined with CT-guided radiofrequency ablation)and a control group(64 cases, receiving hepatic artery embolization alone). The treatment efficacy[objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR)],occurrence of complications, and serum markers[alpha-fetoprotein heterogene 3(AFP-L3),Golgi protein 73(GP73),alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),gamma-glutamyltransferase(γ-GT)]were compared between the two groups. Results The ORR in the observation group was 79.69%(51/64)and the DCR was 89.06%(57/64),both higher than those in the control group(64.06%,75.00%)(P<0.05).The total incidence of related complications in the observation group was 3.13%(2/64),lower than that in the control group[12.50%(8/64)](P<0.05).After 90 days of treatment, the levels of AFP-L3,GP73,AFP,and γ-GT in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Hepatic artery embolization combined with CT-guided radiofrequency ablation is effective for early-stage hepatocellular carcinoma. It not only effectively regulates the levels of AFP-L3,GP73,AFP,and γ-GT but also ensures treatment safety to a certain extent.
