Abstract:Objective To analyze the recurrence of upper ureteral stones(1.5-2.0 cm)treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy and explore the influencing factors of disease recurrence. Methods A total of 280 patients with upper ureteral stones(1.5-2.0 cm)admitted to Henan Provincial Third People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were selected and underwent ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. They were followed up for 6 months to assess stone recurrence rates and analyze the influencing factors of stone recurrence. Results Among the 280 patients, the recurrence rate after ureteroscopic lithotripsy was 16.07%(45/280).Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the influencing factors of postoperative recurrence included age>60 years, body mass index(BMI)≥24 kg·m-2,fatty diet, diabetes mellitus, family history of stones, stone composition(calcium-containing stones),postoperative urinary tract infection, postoperative water intake<3 000 mL·d-1,and never taking exercise after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with upper ureteral stones of 1.5-2.0 cm have a risk of recurrence after ureteroscopic lithotripsy, and the risk is influenced by factors such as age>60 years and BMI≥24 kg·m-2.Effective prevention and treatment measures can be implemented based on these influencing factors to improve prognosis.
