Abstract:Objective To investigate the preoperative characteristics and postoperative major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)in young coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG)patients under 45 years of age by analyzing demographic characteristics, past history, family history, and perioperative clinical data. Methods The clinical data of patients who attended the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and received CABG treatment from January 2020 to June 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.Stratified by gender, comparisons between groups were performed by t-test,Mann-Whitney U test or x2 test.Dichotomous logistic regression was used for risk factor analysis. Results A total of 118 patients were included,108(91.53%)were male and 10(8.47%)were female. The preoperative family history, history of diabetes mellitus, history of hypertension, history of smoking, dyslipidemia and obesity were 13.56%,35.59%,48.31%,50.00%,70.34%and 72.03%,respectively.The postoperative in-hospital mortality rate was 0,and the incidence of MACE was 5.08%.Multifactorial logistic regression analysis showed that gender alone was an independent risk factor for postoperative MACE in young CABG patients(OR=0.070,95%CI:0.007-0.717,P=0.019).Conclusion Young CABG patients are more likely to be male than female, have a high rate of preoperative obesity and dyslipidemia, and have a very low risk of postoperative in-hospital all-cause mortality, with a predominance of MACE events.Gender being female is an independent risk factor for postoperative MACE in young CABG patients.
