Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics and influencing factors of exercise behavior in patients with end-stage renal disease(ESRD).Methods A total of 184 patients with ESRD in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected. The exercise behavior characteristics were evaluated using the exercise stage change scale, and the influencing factors of the exercise behavior characteristics of ESRD patients were analyzed by ordered multi-class logistic regression. Results Among the 184 patients with ESRD,the number of those in the unconscious, conscious, preparation, action, and maintenance stages was 27 cases(14.67%),51 cases(27.72%),54 cases(29.35%),31 cases(16.85%),and 21 cases(11.41%),respectively.A total of 132 cases(71.74%)of the patients were in the non-behavioral stage(unconscious, conscious, preparation),and 52 cases(28.26%)of the patients were in the behavioral stage(action, maintenance).Univariate analysis revealed that there were differences in the distribution of exercise behavior stages among ESRD patients with different educational levels and per capita monthly family incomes(P<0.05).One-way analysis of variance showed that there were differences in perceived exercise benefits/impairments,hope levels, and social support levels among ESRD patients at different exercise behavior stages(P<0.05).Ordered multi-class logistic regression analysis showed that educational level, per capita monthly income of the family, perceived exercise benefits/impairments,hope level, and social support were the influencing factors of the distribution of exercise behavior stages in patients with ESRD(P<0.05).Conclusion The overall level of exercise behavior in patients with ESRD is poor.Educational level, per capita monthly income of the family, perceived benefits/obstacles of exercise, hope level, and social support are the influencing factors of the distribution of exercise behavior stages.
