Abstract:Objective To compare the application effect of T-type full mechanical side-to-side anastomosis and tubular end-to-side anastomosis in patients undergoing thoracoscopic and laparoscopic radical resection of esophageal cancer. Methods A retrospective study was conducted to collect the medical records of 54 patients undergoing radical resection of esophageal cancer by thoracic laparoscopy who received T-type full mechanical side-to-side anastomography in the Department of Thoracic Surgery of the People's Hospital of Anyang City from January 2021 to June 2023,and included them into the A group. The medical records of 54 patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection for esophageal cancer who received end-to-side anastomosis at the same time were collected and included into the B group. The clinical data of all patients were intact. The perioperative indexes, tumor resection diameter, number of lymph node dissection, postoperative complications and short-term prognosis were compared in both groups. Results The operation time and anastomosis time of the A group were shorter than those of the B group, and the incidence of postoperative complications was lower than that of the B group,(P<0.05).The difference was not statistically significant in intraoperative blood loss, drainage tube removal time, oral feeding time, tumor resection diameter, number of lymph node dissection, recurrence rate and survival rate in both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of T-type full mechanical lateral anastomosis and tubular end-to-side anastomosis in radical resection of thoracic esophageal cancer can achieve similar short-term prognosis, and the therapeutic effect is similar, but the former can shorten the operation time and anastomosis time and reduce postoperative complications.
