Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of argatroban sequential hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment on progressive ischemic stroke. Methods From June 2022 to October 2023,60 patients with acute progressive stroke admitted to the Seventh People's Hospital of Zhengzhou were enrolled.Using computer-generated random numbers, participants were equally allocated to an experimental group and a control group(30 patients per group). The experimental group received a combined regimen of argatroban plus hyperbaric oxygen therapy, whereas the control group was treated with argatroban alone.Motor function recovery, serum S100β protein and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)levels,long-term quality of life, and the incidence of adverse events were assessed before and after treatment and compared between groups. Results After treatment, the experimental group achieved higher Fugl-Meyer assessment of motor function(FMA)scores than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Serum S100β and ICAM-1 concentrations were lower in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).The experimental group also showed higher stroke-specific quality of life(SSQOL)scores(P<0.05).No significant between group difference was observed in the incidence of adverse events(P>0.05).Conclusion Argatroban sequential hyperbaric oxygen can effectively restore the cerebral blood supply of patients with progressive ischemic stroke, reduce the levels of biochemical markers of cerebral neuron damage, and improve the quality of life in the long term, and it has a certain degree of clinical application safety.
