Abstract:Objective To analyze the disease spectrum of inpatients discharged from the Department of Cardiology at a class Ⅲ grade A cardiovascular disease specialized hospital in Henan Province between January 1,2021,and December 31,2024.This analysis aims to provide valuable insights for cardiovascular disease management and medical resource allocation. Methods A retrospective study was conducted using 76 883 medical records of all patients discharged from the Department of Cardiology at the aforementioned hospital from 2021 to 2024.Disease diagnoses were classified according to the International Classification of Diseases(ICD-10).Data were statistically analyzed using Excel 2016 and RStudio(R version 4.2.2)to explore the distribution of diseases. Results A total of 72 080 medical records were included in the final analysis. The male-to-female ratio was 1.37∶1.Annual comparisons of the disease spectrum demonstrated high consistency(W=0.777 1,x2=34.191 6,P<0.001).The top 10 diseases accounted for 88.26%of all cases, with I20.0 unstable angina being the most prevalent, representing 46.47%.There was a significant correlation between disease distribution and age.The incidence of most diseases increased with age, while the proportion of diseases exhibited distinct age-stage correlations.Pareto analysis categorized the disease composition into four groups:group A(cumulative proportion 78.66%,comprising six diseases),group B(cumulative proportion 89.85%,comprising five diseases),group C(cumulative proportion 94.93%,comprising eight diseases),and other diseases accounting for the remaining 5.07%.The flow of key nodes in the Sankey energy balance diagrams was consistent with the above statistical analysis results. Conclusion This study to some extent reveals the stability of the disease spectrum of inpatients in regional cardiovascular specialty hospitals and the core prevention and control priorities, providing certain evidence for the optimization of regional medical resources and precise prevention and control. In the future,it is necessary to combine multi-center data and intelligent technologies to deepen dynamic monitoring and promote the continuous improvement of cardiovascular disease prevention and control strategies.
