Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3[25-hydroxyvitamin D3,25-(OH)D3]level and insulin sensitivity, inflammatory response in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, and explore its clinical application value. Methods A total of 94 patients with polycystic ovary syndrome admitted from July 2021 to January 2024 were selected as the study group, and another 94 healthy physical examination subjects were selected as the control group. The clinical general data were compared between the two groups, the levels of serum 25-(OH)D3,C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),insulin sensitivity index(ISI),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)and their correlation were analyzed. The levels of inflammatory response and insulin sensitivity indicators in patients with different levels of 25-(OH)D3 were compared, and the correlation between the levels of serum 25-(OH)D3 and the diagnostic efficacy of combined detection of these indicators was analyzed in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Results The levels of 25-(OH)D3,ISI and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting insulin(FINS),CRP,IL-6,luteinizing hormone(LH)and HOMA-IR were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Serum 25-(OH)D3 levels were negatively correlated with CRP,IL-6,and HOMA-IR,and positively correlated with ISI(P<0.05).The levels of serum CRP,IL-6 and HOMA-IR were increased significantly with the deficiency of 25-(OH)D3 level, and ISI was decreased significantly with the deficiency of 25-(OH)D3 level(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that serum CRP,IL-6 and HOMA-IR on admission were the risk factors for 25-(OH)D3 deficiency, and ISI was the protective factor for 25-(OH)D3 deficiency(P<0.05),the combined detection levels of CRP,IL-6,ISI and HOMA-IR on admission had high diagnostic value for 25-(OH)D3 deficiency. Conclusion The serum 25-(OH)D3 level in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome is associated with insulin sensitivity and inflammatory response.Combined detection has certain diagnostic value for patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, which can objectively reflect changes in inflammatory response and glucose metabolism in the body, and assist clinicians in diagnosis.
