Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between complement factor H(CFH)gene polymorphism and susceptibility to secondary cataract in glaucoma. Methods A total of 152 glaucoma patients who visited Zhengzhou Central Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the disease group, and they were divided into a secondary group(47 cases)and a non secondary group(105 cases)based on the presence or absence of secondary cataracts.A total of 152 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group during the same period. The CFH gene polymorphism in the disease group and control group was detected, and the Hardy-Weinberg genetic balance law test was performed. The CFH gene polymorphism between the disease group and the control group,as well as between the secondary and non secondary groups was compared, and the influencing factors of secondary cataract in glaucoma were analyzed using Logistic regression analysis. Results The genotype distribution of CFH genes at loci rs529825,rs800292,rs1061170,rs1410996,and rs10737680 in the disease group and control group all conform to Hardy-Weinberg law of genetic balance(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the genotype distribution of CFH genes at rs529825 and rs1410996 loci between the disease group and the control group(P>0.05).The CC genotype frequency at rs800292,TC genotype frequency at rs1061170,and AA genotype frequency at rs10737680 of the CFH gene in the disease group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),while the TT genotype frequency at rs1061170 of the CFH gene was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the genotype distribution of CFH genes at rs529825,rs800292,and rs1410996 loci between the secondary and non secondary groups(P>0.05).The TC genotype frequency and AA genotype frequency at the rs1061170 locus of the CFH gene in the secondary group were higher than those in the non secondary group(P<0.05),while the TT genotype frequency at the rs1061170 locus of the CFH gene was lower than that in the non secondary group(P<0.05).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that a history of anti glaucoma surgery, the TC genotype at rs1061170 of the CFH gene, and the AA genotype at rs10737680 were all risk factors for susceptibility to secondary cataracts in glaucoma(P<0.05).Conclusion There are differences in the genotype distribution of CFH genes at rs800292,rs1061170,and rs10737680 loci between glaucoma patients and healthy individuals.Among them, the TC genotype at rs1061170 locus and the AA genotype at rs10737680 locus of CFH genes may be related to susceptibility to secondary cataracts in glaucoma.
