Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application of carbapenem inhibitor enhancement test and NG-Test CARBA5 colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay in the detection of carbapenemase of Enterobacteriaceae. Methods Non repetitive carbapenem-resistant enterobacterales(CRE)isolated from patients were collected at the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Zhengzhou University in 2021.The enzyme type and gene type were detected by carbapenem inhibitor enhancement test and NG-Test CARBA5 colloidal gold immunochromatography assay respectively. The results of polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was set as the standard. Results Compared with the results of PCR,carbapenemase inhibitor enhancement test detected class A carbapenemase or class B metallo-beta-lactamase,the sensitivity and specificity were 100.00%and 98.36%,respectively.Colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay detected class A carbapenemase or class B metallo-beta-lactamase,the sensitivity and specificity were 95.90%and 99.18%,respectively.Conclusion The carbapenemase inhibitor enhancement test and NG-Test CARBA5 colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay have high sensitivity and specificity in detecting the carbapenemase type and genotype of Enterobacteriaceae bacteria.
