Summary of the Best Evidence of Exercise Prerehabilitation in Patients with Radical Cystectomy Under the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Concept

Abstract：Objective To systematically retrieve,evaluate,and integrate the best evidence on exercise prehabilitation for patients with proposed radical cystotomy based on the ERAS concept,and to provide a scientific basis for preoperative exercise intervention programmes for patients with radical cystotomy.Methods A computerised search was conducted for all guidelines,expert consensus and systematic evaluations on exercise prehabilitation for patients undergoing radical cystotomy in the US National Guidelines Library,UpToDate,PubMed and domestic and international databases and websites such as China Knowledge and Wanfang.Results A total of 15 articles were included in this study,including 3 guidelines,6 systematic evaluations,3 expert consensus articles,and 3 randomised controlled trial.Sixteen pieces of evidence were summarised in six areas:exercise prehabilitation education for patients with radical cystectomy,pre-exercise assessment,exercise modality,exercise duration,frequency and intensity,exercise compliance monitoring,and exercise implementation sites.Conclusion This study integrates the best evidence of exercise prehabilitation for radical cystectomy patients,and clinical healthcare professionals can select the best evidence by taking into account the radical cystectomy patients'own conditions,the hardware and software facilities and equipment of their hospitals,the clinical reality,the cultural background,and the subjective willingness of the stakeholders of the evidence application,the facilitation and hindrance,so as to provide the patients with the scientific,fitting and evidence-based preoperative exercise management programme.
