Analysis of TCM Syndrome and Clinical Characteristics of Male Erectile Dysfunction

Abstract:Objective Through retrospective analysis of relevant cases,to discuss the distribution pattern and characteristics of syndrome types of male erectile dysfunction.Methods Data of 160 male patients with erectile disorder in Henan Reproduction Maternity Hospital from January 2020 to November 2023 were retrospective analysed.Data were processed and analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 statistical software.Results The mean age of the patients was 31.38 years.The duration was 0.3-15 years,with an average duration of 2.49 years.Married men accounted for 30.63%,33.75%of patients with erectile disorder,and 58.13%with premature ejaculation.Distribution of TCM syndrome types in patients with erectile disorder.There were 11 syndrome types,among which,kidney Yin deficiency accounted for 24.40%,spleen and kidney deficiency accounted for 17.80%,Yin deficiency and fire for 17.00%,liver and Qi stagnation for 11.90%,fire decline for 10.40%,damp and heat stasis for 9.60%,kidney Qi deficiency for 3.00%,heart,spleen and fire for 3.00%,Qi and Yin deficiency for 0.70%,Qi stagnation and blood stasis accounted for 1.50%,and kidney deficiency for 0.70%.Conclusion The distribution and characteristics of syndrome in erectile dysfunction are kidney Yin deficiency,spleen and kidney deficiency,Yin deficiency and fire,and Qi stagnation.In order to cope with this change,it is necessary to take corresponding treatment methods,but also to take corresponding preventive measures according to the etiology of relevant syndrome.
