Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Chinese modified dietary approaches to stop hypertension(DASH)diet and resistance exercises on pre-pregnancy obesity women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and gestational hypertension. Methods From January 2023 to June 2024,100 patients with pre-pregnancy obesity combined with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)and gestational hypertension were admitted to the Henan Reproductive Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. They were divided into a study group(50 cases)and a control group(50 cases)based on treatment methods. The control group received conventional diet and exercise, while the study group received a modified Chinese dietary approaches to stop hypertension(DASH)diet combined with resistance training. Both groups were treated for 3 months, and the insulin treatment, blood glucose levels, blood pressure levels, insulin resistance, lipid levels, and adverse neonatal outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results In the initial gestational week of insulin treatment,in comparison of the control group, the study group was delayed(P<0.05).After treatment, the fasting plasma glucose(FPG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG),systolic blood pressure(SBP),and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)in both groups were decreased(P<0.05),in comparison of the control group, the study group was lower(P<0.05).After treatment, the fasting insulin(FINS)and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)in both groups were decreased(P<0.05),and in comparison of the control group, the study group was lower(P<0.05).After treatment, the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)levels in both groups were decreased(P<0.05),the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels were increased(P<0.05),in comparison of the control group, the LDL-C level in the study group was lower(P<0.05),and the HDL-C level was higher(P<0.05).In the incidence of adverse outcomes in newborns,in comparison of the control group(16.00%),the study group(2.00%)was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of Chinese modified DASH diet and resistance exercises in pre-pregnancy obesity women with GDM and hypertension patients can delay the initial gestational week of insulin treatment, reduce blood glucose, blood pressure levels and insulin resistance, improve blood lipid levels, and reduce adverse neonatal outcomes.
