Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression levels and clinical significance of serum neuronal-specific enolase(NSE)and C-reactive protein to pre albumin ratio(CRP/PA)in patients with pneumoconiosis. Methods Clinical data of 110 pneumoconiosis patients admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Henan Province(Henan Occupational Disease Hospital)from June 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively collected.According to disease stages, they were divided into stage Ⅰ(48 cases),stage Ⅱ(32 cases)and stage Ⅲ(30 cases). The expression levels of serum NSE and CRP/PA in patients with different stages were compared, and Kendall's tau-b correlation coefficient was used to test the correlation between serum NSE,CRP/PA and the stage of pneumoconiosis. All patients received standard treatment according to the guidelines after admission.Follow-up data of patients were consulted, and patients were divided into good prognosis group(91 cases)and poor prognosis group(19 cases)according to the prognosis after 6 months of treatment.Baseline data and serum NSE,and CRP/PA expression levels of patients with different prognosis were compared.Multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the prognostic factors of pneumoconiosis patients. Results The serum levels of NSE,CRP and CRP/PA in patients with stage Ⅲ were higher than those in stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ,while the PA level was lower than that in stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ(P<0.05).According to Kendall's tau-b correlation coefficient test, serum NSE and CRP/PA levels were positively correlated with the stage of pneumoconiosis patients(P<0.05).The proportion of patients with stage Ⅲ disease and the levels of serum NSE,CRP,and CRP/PA in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group(P<0.05),while the level of PA was lower in the good prognosis group(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that NSE and CRP/PA are all factors affecting the prognosis of patients with pneumoconiosis(P<0.05).Conclusion The more severe the stage of pneumoconiosis, the higher the expression levels of serum NSE and CRP/PA,and the expression levels of serum NSE and CRP/PA are factors affecting the prognosis of pneumoconiosis patients.
