Abstract:Objective To investigate the current status and latent profile classifications of post-stroke fatigue(PSF)among young and middle-aged patients with stroke, and to analyze the factors influencing these classifications. Methods Convenient sampling was used to recruit young and middle-aged stroke patients from the neurology department of a tertiary hospital in Zhengzhou from January to December 2023.General information and multidimensional fatigue scales were distributed and collected through an online platform. The latent profile analysis(LPA)of fatigue levels in young and middle-aged stroke patients was conducted using Mplus 8.0 software, and single-factor analysis and multiclass logistic regression were performed using SPSS 26.0 statistical software. Results This study included a total of 564 middle-aged and young patients with stroke. The median score for the overall fatigue level was 52.00(40.00,60.00),and three subgroups were identified:low fatigue type(29.43%),moderate fatigue type(57.80%),and severe fatigue type(12.77%).The main predictive factors for these subgroups were found to be average monthly income, marital status, types of comorbidities, stroke category, and whether it was the first occurrence of stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion PSF among young and middle-aged stroke patients is at a moderate level and exhibits heterogeneous differences.Clinical nurses should pay active attention to the fatigue and mental state of middle-aged and young stroke patients.Targeted rehabilitation nursing should be provided based on the different characteristics and actual situations of patients, aiming to overall improve the nursing effectiveness and quality of life.
