Efficacy of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Combined with Zhengqing Fengtongning Joint Cavity Injection in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Carpal Joint Lesions

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave combined with Zhengqing Fengtongning joint cavity injection in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)with carpal joint lesions and its effect on inflammatory response,serum erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)and rheumatoid factor(RF)levels.Methods Eighty-two patients with rheumatoid arthritis of wrist joints admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected as study subjects,and were randomly divided into 41 cases in the control group and 41 cases in the research group.In addition to the basic treatment,the control group was given Zhengqing Fengtongning joint cavity injection treatment,and the research group was given extracorporeal shock wave combined with Zhengqing Fengtongning joint cavity injection treatment.The clinical efficacy,inflammatory response and changes in serum ESR and RF levels were compared between the two groups.Results The clinical efficacy of the study group after treatment(95.12％)was better than that of the control group(73.17％)(P＜0.05).The levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-17(IL-17),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),serum ESR and RF levels were lower in the two groups after treatment,and those were lower in the study group than in the control group after treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion Effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave combined with Zhengqing Fengtongning joint cavity injection in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with carpal joint lesions is great,which relieves the patient's inflammatory response,lowers the serum ESR and RF levels,and slows down the further development of arthritis.
