Abstract:Objective To investigate the level of recovery confidence in patients after hepatectomy and analyze its major sociodemographic, clinical, and psychosocial influencing factors. Methods Using a convenience sampling method, patients who underwent hepatectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between January 2023 and December 2024 were selected as research subjects.Data were collected using a self-designed general information questionnaire, the postoperative recovery confidence scale, the social support rating scale, and the simplified coping style questionnaire.Influencing factors of recovery confidence were analyzed. Results A total of 220 questionnaires were distributed, and 205 valid responses were collected, resulting in a valid response rate of 93.18%.The mean total score of recovery confidence was(41.78±7.15)points.Univariate analysis showed that age, education level, occupation, monthly per capita household income, liver disease diagnosis, maximum tumor diameter, postoperative complications, total social support score, positive coping, and negative coping were all significantly associated with recovery confidence scores(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis indicated that recovery confidence was positively correlated with total social support(r=0.586,P<0.05)and positive coping(r=0.491,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with negative coping(r=-0.428,P<0.05)and maximum tumor diameter(r=-0.161,P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that higher social support(β=0.348),positive coping style(β=0.277),absence of postoperative complications(β=0.197),higher monthly per capita household income(β=0.149),and benign liver disease diagnosis(β=0.128)were the main positive predictors of recovery confidence(adjusted R2=0.507,F=38.915,P<0.05).Conclusion Recovery confidence in patients after hepatectomy is influenced by multiple factors.Healthcare providers should pay close attention to patients' psychosocial conditions, especially social support and coping styles, while also addressing clinical factors such as complication management, disease characteristics, and economic status,in order to comprehensively enhance patients' recovery confidence.
