Cognition and Demand Analysis of Intelligent Rehabilitation Management for Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation

Abstract：Objective To understand the cognition and demand of patients with lumbar disc herniation for intelligent rehabilitation management,and to provide a basis for the development of intelligent rehabilitation management equipment and platform.Methods A total of 153 patients with lumbar disc herniation who were hospitalized in Zhengzhou Hospital,Luoyang Orthopaedic Hospital of Henan Province(Henan Province Orthopedic Hospital)from April to June 2023 were selected as the research objects.The cognition-demand questionnaire for intelligent rehabilitation management of patients with lumbar disc herniation was designed by ourselves.Results The awareness rate of intelligent rehabilitation management in patients with lumbar disc herniation was 50.32％,the utilization rate was only 5.23％,95.43％of patients needed exercise rehabilitation guidance,and 75.82％of patients were willing to use wearable devices(wearable sensors,smart watches/rings)and APP for exercise rehabilitation management.The demand scores of intelligent rehabilitation management ranged from 15 to 75(53.27±12.82)points.Multiple regression analysis showed that younger people,more knowledgeable about sports rehabilitation knowledge,higher demand for sports rehabilitation guidance,and willing to use wearable devices(wearable sensors,smart watches/rings)and APP for sports rehabilitation managers had higher demand for intelligent rehabilitation management,while students had lower demand for intelligent rehabilitation management,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).This accounted for 48.4％of the total variation.Conclusion Patients with lumbar disc herniation have a moderate awareness rate of intelligent rehabilitation management and a low usage rate,but a high willingness to use it.It is necessary to take patient demand as a guide to design and develop intelligent rehabilitation management equipment and platform,strengthen the improvement of core elements such as precision,safety and simplicity,and strengthen patients' cognition of intelligent rehabilitation management.Through health education,patients' understanding of and attention to sports rehabilitation knowledge can be improved to meet patients' needs for sports rehabilitation guidance,so as to enhance the utilization rate of intelligent rehabilitation management and promote patients to carry out effective sports rehabilitation.
